The Emile Awards
A total of 20 trophies have been awarded each year to
various areas of animated production.
These prizes are comprised of 19 awards and the
Lotte Reiniger Lifetime Achievement Award:

- Best Direction in an Animated Short Film
- Best Design in an Animated Short Film
- Best Character Animation in an Animated Short Film
Student film
- Best Achievement in an Animated Student Film
Commissioned Film
- Best Achievement in an Animated Commissioned Film
Series
- Best Direction in an Animated Series
- Best Writing in an Animated Series
- Best Storyboard in an Animated Series
- Best Character Animation in an Animated Series
- Best Design in an Animated Series
- Best Soundtrack in an Animated Series
- Best Sound Design in an Animated Series
Feature Film
- Best Direction in an Animated Feature Film
- Best Writing in an Animated Feature Film
- Best Storyboard in an Animated Feature Film
- Best Character Animation in an Animated Feature Film
- Best Design in an Animated Feature Film
- Best Soundtrack in an Animated Feature Film
- Best Sound Design in an Animated Feature Film
Four Juries, each composed of three members, are tasked with the pre-selection process. Each jury will have to select 3 nominees. The composition of the Juries will be made public when the pre-selection process is through.
The Lotte Reiniger Lifetime Achievement Award
The Lotte Reiniger Lifetime Achievement Award will reward an individual in recognition of their lifetime contribution to the art of animation exhibited by an outstanding contribution to excellence in animation.
The winner of Lotte Reiniger Lifetime Achievement Award is elected by the Board of the European Animation Awards.
